Packaging
Whether delivering by hand or shipping, you must be
very careful to pack your drives / systems appropriately.
Data Recovery UK Limited cannot be responsible for damage
or loss during transit.
For drives that have been removed from the computer
system, place them in an anti-static bag and seal. Wrap
the bag in at least two inches of foam or bubble wrap,
on all sides, and place in a sturdy box. Seal the box
securely and mark it “FRAGILE”. Tapes should
first be placed in their cases or canisters prior to
wrapping and packing.
Removable disks such as diskettes, CD’s, DVD’s,
ZIP’s and flash card memory should be placed in
their original cases or a padded envelope. They should
than be wrapped in foam or bubble wrap on all sides
and placed in a sturdy box, sealed and marked “FRAGILE”.
If you are shipping desktop, laptops or portables,
repack them, if possible, in their original packaging
and padding. If the original packaging is not available,
wrap the computer in at least four inches of foam or
bubble wrap and place in a very sturdy box. Seal securely
and mark it “FRAGILE”.
We strongly recommend hand delivery via courier
when shipping complete systems.
If there is more than one component in a box, be sure
the recommended amount of padding is used between all
components. |
